The School’s Philosophy
At Atelier Kids, we guide each child along their individual path of development by providing an environment that nurtures the mind and body.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are intentionally designed to provide children with opportunities to explore and connect with nature.
We believe childhood should include plenty of time outdoors. Children need opportunities to experience real materials, natural textures, sunlight, plants, soil, water, and the changing seasons.
Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where children can develop confidence and independence while being respected for who they are.

Montessori-Inspired Learning
Our classrooms include Montessori-inspired materials and experiences that encourage children to learn through hands-on exploration.
Children are encouraged to make appropriate choices, work independently, repeat activities, and develop practical life skills.

Reggio Emilia Inspired Program at Atelier Kids
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, each lesson is thoughtfully designed around a child’s interests and stages of development.
Our program views children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Through hands-on experiences, nature, art, and meaningful play, children are invited to ask questions, express their ideas, and make connections with the world around them

Project-Based Learning
Project-Based Learning allows children to open their minds and explore ideas that are meaningful to them.
Rather than simply being given answers, children are encouraged to ask questions and share what they discover.
Projects may begin with something as simple as:
“Why do leaves fall?”
“How do plants grow?”
“Where does water go?”
“How can we build a house for a bird?”
A project can bring together language, mathematics, science, art, social studies, movement, and social-emotional development.
Meet the Director

Inés Lozano
DIRECTOR
With more than 25 years of experience in education, school leadership, and international education, Inés Lozano brings a deep commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for children and families.
As a dual Spanish-American citizen who grew up experiencing different countries and cultures, Inés developed an early appreciation for diversity and the many ways children learn, grow, and experience the world.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of co-founding and serving as principal of three successful PK–8 international schools in Miami. Her work has focused on bilingualism, multicultural education, and creating environments where children develop curiosity, confidence, empathy, independence, and a love of learning.
Inés believes that education begins with a child’s natural curiosity. Young children learn best when they are given opportunities to explore, create, question, discover, and connect.
For Inés, education is much more than a profession; it is a passion and a commitment to the children and their families to help steer them through a formative stage in their lives.
